Adherence to the Building Code ensures that each project meets the minimum state safety standards, which in turn helps preserve the value of the buildings and structures. Once a permit is obtained, City building inspectors visit the property at predetermined intervals to ensure that the construction is accomplished in compliance with the approved plans and the applicable Building and Municipal Codes. This is accomplished through a comprehensive plan review, permit issuance and construction inspection process. The Building Division requires appointments for the following services: Face coverings are optional inside City facilities. All Plan Check Submittals and Building Permit Issuance services require appointments. Appointments are highly recommended as extended wait times are expected for walk-up services. Walk-up services are only available each morning, with sign-up sheets available on site between 8:00 am and 11:00 am.
